เมนูภาษาอังกฤษใน Firefox ไทย

เนื่องจากโครงการ localization ของ Firefox เมื่อเวลาเราจะ download ตัว install ตัวใหม่ เราจะถูกส่งให้ไป download รุ่น “ภาษาท้องถิ่น” โดยอัตโนมัติ

ถ้าหาก download Firefox ตัวภาษาไทยมาแล้ว อยากเปลี่ยนกลับไปใช้่ภาษาอังกฤษมี 2 วิธี ดังนี้

วิธีที่ 1 – ติดตั้ง en-GB.xpi (ติดตั้งง่าย เป็นไฟล์เล็กๆ – แนะนำให้ใช้วิธีนี้)

• Download en-GB.xpi มาลง (link นี้สำหรับ Firefox 3.0.7)  ตัวนี้คือ Language Pack ภาษาอังกฤษมาลง
• สำหรับ Firefox version อื่นๆ ลองหาได้จาก
  http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.7/win32/xpi/
  แต่เปลี่ยน 3.0.7 ใน URL เป็น เลข version ที่ใช้อยู่
  เช่น 3.0.4 ก็ต้องโหลด en-GB.xpi จาก
  http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.4/win32/xpi/
• ติดตั้งเสร็จแล้ว ปิดแล้วเปิด Firefox ใหม่

วิธีที่ 2 – uninstall Firefox แล้ว ลงใหม่

• uninstall Firefox ภาษาไทย
• เข้าไปแก้ “ภาษาท้องถิ่น” ใน
  Control Panel -> Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options ->  Regional and Language Options -> Standards and Forma
  แก้เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ เช่น “English (United State)”
• ไป download ใหม่ คราวนี้มันจะพาเราไป download version ภาษาอังกฤษแล้ว

English menu in Firefox

if you download/are using Firefox and got local language menu,and want to change it to English

You have 2 options,

1. Install English language pack  – Recommend

• download and install en-GB.xpi (this link is just for Firefox 3.0.7)
• For other version of Firefox, look for it from
  http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.7/win32/xpi/
  BUT, change 3.0.7 in URL to your current version first  !
  e.g. Firefox version 3.0.4 , you can get en-GB.xpi from
  http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0.4/win32/xpi
• Restart Firefox after install

2 . Uninstall Firefox, and get English version

• Uninstall your Firefox
• Go to
  Control Panel -> Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options ->  Regional and Language Options -> Standards and Format
  Set language to “English (United State)”
• Re-download Firefox, this time you should be brought to download Firefox in English version
